This page explains what personal information Breakfast collects, why, and what I do with it. It's written in plain English on purpose. This is a sensible placeholder policy and not legal advice — get it reviewed before you rely on it.
Who I am
Breakfast is a small, one-person web studio based in Britain, run by Chris Gwynne. If you have any question about your data, email me at hello@breakfastdept.com and a real person — me — will answer.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry through a form or by email, I collect what you choose to give me — typically your name, email address, business name and the details of your enquiry. I also use privacy-respecting analytics that don't track you across the web and don't build a profile of you.
Why I collect it and how I store it
I use enquiry details for one thing: to reply to you and, if it goes further, to scope and run your project. Enquiry data is stored in my CRM and email so I can keep track of the conversation. I keep it only for as long as it's useful, then remove it.
I never sell your personal information, and I don't share it with third parties for marketing. The only person who sees your enquiry is me.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email hello@breakfastdept.com and I'll sort it out. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle your data, I'll update this page and the date below.
